About six years ago, I gave up the golf clubs and took up running. Having run a couple marathons earlier in life, I returned to the sport for exercise and mental health. I continue to run for those reasons, and for the personal challenge it provides. The quest to qualify for the Boston Marathon took several attempts over years before finally making it. I'm a big fan of the trails and paths in the Cleveland Metroparks and Cuyahoga Valley National Park -- the location of the local Buckeye Trail 50K. The best part of this running journey has been the fabulous people I've discovered along the way. I can't imagine this running lifestyle without sharing the ride. This is my log.
